Paris Auto Show will be the place where 2017 Land Rover Discovery will be unveiled completely, but we have got some new pictures for you before that happens. Even though we might know how it looks from the front, the new Land Rover Discovery takes more modern design into consideration. It reminds us of the 2014’s Discovery Vision Concept. Therefore, it combines the elements of the Discovery Sport, the smaller vehicle, in order to make the smoothest Discovery so far. Hopefully, it’s this one.
People at Land Rover even thought of kids. Since Discovery is being presented as a family car, the managers decided to ask kids to help them with the design. Yes, that’s right. They actually organized a group of children aged between 5 and 9 to make the camouflage pattern for the new model. After the design was ready – full of colorful drawings and children signings, the car could continue its way. Off-road testing was next.
Being an SUV, the 2017 Land Rover Discovery had some serious tests to pass. One of the videos teased us and showed the full abilities of the car. That includes hardcore testing through the snow, sand dunes, and even crossing deep rivers. On the other hand, being a family car at the same time, the other video testified of its abilities in that sphere of life. Suddenly the pattern that kids have made becomes reality and shows us how practical the new model actually is.

The new Discovery will have the Range Rover’s aluminum monocoque, making it a lot lighter that the current model. At first, Ingenium diesel 2.0-liter engine will be available, but don’t worry, both petrol and diesel 3.0 V6s will follow.
