5 Players Cowboys Shouldn’t Sign In Free Agency

4Adrian Clayborn

If you don’t scratch the surface on Clayborn’s 2017 season, you will see an impressive number of 9.5 sacks. But as all Cowboys fans know, he recorded six of those against Dak Prescott. His season wasn’t as good as that individual game. He had 21 tackles and two forced fumbles for entire 2017. Those two fumbles also were recorded vs. Cowboys.

Clayborn is a good player, there’s no doubt, but he will command more money than he’s worth. This guy is coming off a two-year deal worth $8.5 million with Falcons, and his next contract will be in the region of $28 million for three years. Cowboys would be better to invest this type of money in resigning Irving or Hitchens.
