5 Players Who Need To Shine In Clash Vs. Texans
The Dallas Cowboys are 2-2 after that thrilling win over the Detroit Lions back at home on Sunday, but they now need to keep performing in order to compete with the rest of the teams in the division. That was a big game for this squad. Now, the Texans are ready to keep rolling after that won over Colts, so here are the guys that need to step up for Dallas if they want to go to 3-2 score.
5. La’el Collins
The offensive line hasn’t been great so far this season, while the Texans have a strong pass rush, so the guys in the o-line are going to have to be extra careful and protect their quarterback well. Collins has been one of the underperformers in this segment, so he needs to step up.
4. Joe Looney
One more offensive lineman here. Clowney, Watt, and Mercilus are coming for Prescott, so Looney needs to do everything that he can to keep Prescott safe and block for Ezekiel Elliot to run. If he looks like a backup, there is no doubt that Houston will get their hands on the QB.
3. Leighton Vander Esch
Sean Lee was the most important defensive player for the ‘Boys a year ago. We saw how badly they looked when he was out. Well, Vander Esch was a good replacement last week, but he needs to keep playing that way in order for this team to get the job done.
2. Byron Jones
DeAndre Hopkins is going to be a problem for the Cowboys, just like for every other team. It is going to be Jones’ job to stop him, so we think that he needs to be on top of his game in order to neutralize Texans’ most important offensive weapon.
1. Dak Prescott
It goes without saying, but we still need to point out that Prescott needs to play better than he did after his rookie year. They are at their best when he is able to both run and pass. The pass rush of Texans is going to be fearless, so he needs to get the ball out quickly and accurately.
