People have been anxious to see the new Jeep Wrangler pickup ever since the American carmaker presented the Gladiator concept more than ten years ago. The fans will finally get some kind of satisfaction because the company is working on the Scrambler successor which is inspired by the 2018 Wrangler.
The model has been caught on camera on several occasions, but it is still in an early development phase, so it wears heavy covers due to which we are unable to talk about this model in greater details. The JL Wrangler Forums has created some renderings for the fans to get a glimpse at the possible design of the new truck.
According to the website administrator, the pickup will be based on the Wrangler that is going to give many of its parts to the pickup truck. There will be some changes such as unique front quarter panels and a new character line located on the bed of the trunk.
Jeep has been quiet about the new Wrangler, which is said to come with a lot of aluminum components that will make the vehicle lighter and improve its fuel economy. Furthermore, the new model is expected to come with an updated interior that features higher-quality materials.
Rumor has it the Wrangler is going to be offered with six engine options out of which there will be two variants of a turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 and two versions of the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 unit. Moreover, Jeep is going to offer a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel powerplant as well as a 3.0-liter V6 EcoDiesel engine.
