Korean company is currently testing their new model the 2019 Hyundai  Santa Fe , and there are some spy shots taken so let’s see what the new vehicle will look like. The test mule you can see here will be the redesigned variant of the three-row SUV, but there is no doubt that the two-row Santa Fe Sport will receive few changes as well.

Looking at the spy photos, we can conclude that the design is evolutionary, and one of the clear differences is the position of the side mirrors which used to be located at the A-pillar base, but they are now on the doors.

The headlights will come with the split design, while the DRLs have been moved upwards, just under the edge of the hood. Furthermore, the main projectors on the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe will form a vertical stack. Signature South Korean Cascading grille design was implemented on the 2018 Elantra GT for the first time, and now it will be integrated into the new Santa Fe also.

We have no information about the engine of the new vehicle, but it is safe to say that a naturally aspirated V6 unit will be offered. In addition, Santa Fe Sport should feature the inline-four turbocharged powerplants under its hood, while both models should come with a standard FWD, but you can always opt for the optional AWD system.

Ford Explorer, Kia Sorrento, Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander will be some of the main rival cars of the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. Volkswagen Atlas and the upcoming vehicle that will come as a replacement for the Subaru Tribeca are also going to put up a fight.

2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Release Date

The current year is reserved for a carryover model which will go under the 2018 MY. The version intended for 2017 release will come with improved tech but without any visible design changes. Also, the price won’t stray away too far from what we have at the moment. Severe changes will come in the following year when 2019 My of Hyundai Santa Fe is expected to debut. With that model, we will have already updated technology solutions, exterior upgrade, and a new set of prices. The release date is not yet scheduled, but it will, without a doubt, happen next year. With the way Hyundai does things you should expect 2019 Santa Fe in summer months of 2018.
