The 2019 Ford Focus is being developed, and the camouflaged prototype has been seen for the first time. In some of the earlier photos, we had a chance to see a test vehicle, but this right here has the body which is ready for production. Ford will launch the new Focus next year as a 2019 model.

Compared to the ongoing version, the revamped vehicle will be slightly longer, which can be noticed on the earlier spy photos. Unfortunately, there isn’t much we know about the 2019 Ford Focus, but it will probably be similar to the current model with some minor exterior changes. Once again, Blue Oval will launch the Focus in hatchback, sedan, and wagon body style.

The buyers will be able to choose between several powertrain options, including the performance-oriented options as well. The base trim will be equipped with an I3 unit that will have fuel-saving cylinder deactivation. This engine will not only be used for the new Focus, but it will also find its way to the modified Ford Fiesta.

An electric option will also be on the table. The company’s ongoing Focus Electric definitely cannot be compared to the electric machines such as Tesla’s vehicles, but it is important for Ford because it provides a boost for the average fuel efficiency, which is an important aspect of every Focus.

In January, Blue Oval company confirmed that they plan to produce a compact electric SUV with a 300-mile range by 2024. There is a possibility that this model’s battery and powertrain will be transferred to the new Focus Electric.
