The new Volkswagen crossover will go under the name of Atlas and it will determine the future of the company’s US division. Since we knew the details about this car before the official presentation, there were no surprises in Santa Monica, where the Atlas was officially revealed.
The new car is based on the MQB platform and it is slightly shorter than 200 inches. It is expected that this gigantic seven-seat crossover competes against Hyundai Santa Fe and Honda Pilot. The company offers two engine options. First one is a 2.0-liter turbo engine that produces 238 hp. The other unit is a VR6 3.6-liter rated at 280 hp. The car will be equipped with the standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
