Toyota apparently loves to present its vehicles at the Chicago Auto Show, and this year they introduced the TRD Sport trim for both Tundra pickup truck and Sequoia SUV. What is even better is that we took a glance at these two models which had been refreshed for this year.
The ongoing Tundra debuted three years ago, also in Windy City, while the Sequoia has been updated several times ever since its release back in 2008. Now, both models will see some minor design tweaks and receive additional features inside the cabin. The 2018 Toyota Tundra will have a mesh grille insert, but not on all trims, whereas the 1974 Edition comes with a brand-new billet-style front grille.
Together with the 1974 Edition, Limited and Platinum trims have LED headlights as well as LED DRLs, while Toyota Sequoia features those on every model within the lineup. Speaking of Sequoia, the SR5, Limited and Platinum also come with a different and authentic grille insert.
Inside the cabin, Toyota upgraded the center console and modified gauge cluster that comes equipped with a Multi-Information Display screen. In addition, Toyota Safety Sense-P package can be found in all Tundra and Sequoia models as a standard feature. It consists of lane departure warning, radar-based adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection and automatic high beams.
Moreover, Toyota also presented the TRD Sport trims, and they can be purchased with either 2WD or 4WD configuration.
