Well thankfully summer is just around the corner, and as far as we are concerned, it was about time. To make things even more interesting, Mercedes decided to gladden us additionally with their all-new convertible E-Class which is set to debut at the 2017 NY Auto Show. Thanks to this feat you will now be able to pick another convertible from the Mercedes-Benz lineup, and this one is sitting very nicely between the bigger flagship S-Class Cabriolet, and somewhat smaller and a lot less tech equipped C-Class.
For the first time so far the all-new 2018 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet will come with a 4MATIC all-wheel drive and a lot of tech bits and pieces that improve the comfort level the German carmaker is well known for like the AIRCAP wind deflector and the AIRSCARF neck-level heating system. Mercedes also offers an option to choose a color of the soft top on this one, and you will have a choice of dark brown, dark blue, red or black. The soft top also offers a very sophisticated insulation that helps in reduction of wind and ride noise when the car is running at highway speeds, which is a very helpful thing if you want to have any kind of conversation in a convertible zooming 90 MPH down an open road.
The all new 2018 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet now boosts company’s fleet of convertibles to 7 vehicles for US buyers to choose from. The choice comes down to the C-Class Cabriolet, S-Class Cabriolet, SLC, SL, AMG GT Roadster and of course the magnificent Mercedes-Maybach S650 Cabriolet. Well, actually there is 8 if you count the Smart ForTwo Cabrio. The info about powertrain tells us that the US buyers will have an option of either the E400 Cabriolet or the E400 4MATIC Cabriolet, but there is a catch. The customers will have to wait until later this year in order to drive their vehicles.
