The 2018 Lincoln Navigator should be launched in 2017 and here is what we know about this model. First of all the Navigator is the flagship car in the Lincoln range. Moreover, this vehicle uses the same chassis as the Ford Expedition, and both of these models share the platform with the F-150.

The 2018 Ford Expedition will be revealed at the 2017 Detroit Auto Show and shortly after that luxury SUV from Lincoln will appear. Just like we said, the new Expedition will be based on the same aluminum configuration you can find on the Ford F-150. As a result, we will receive significantly lighter underpinnings and overall lower weight than on the ongoing model, but at this point, you are probably wondering why this is important for Lincoln.

Namely, the engineers will use the same platform, but they will overhaul it for the next Navigator. It is expected that they will assemble the 2018 model by the time Expedition is presented.

2018 Lincoln Navigator – What We Know So Far

Recently, the new Ford Expedition has been spotted testing. However, this car could also be the Navigator because the two share the same platform and have an almost identical design. It is really hard to tell because the vehicle has been under a heavy camouflage and it wouldn’t surprise us that Blue Oval company is doing runs and gathering data that will be later shared with their corporate brother.

The Lincoln Navigator is one of the largest SUVs you can find on the market, and there is no doubt that the following model will boast roomy cabin. It is, in fact, one of the main traits of the vehicle.

The Lincoln Navigator Concept was presented at the 2016 Detroit Auto Show, and most of the parts we have had a chance to see will reach the production line. They also used a lot of parts from Concept when they produced Continental, so they will probably do the same with this one. The gullwing doors will not be included, though.

Stay tuned for more details.
