The Range Rover Sport is currently being updated and, of course, the high-performance SVR variant will be upgraded as well. This model is spotted testing, and we expect it to arrive together with the modified version of the regular Range Rover Sport later in the year. Both cars will come out as 2018 vehicles.

Based on the spy shots, we can conclude that the regular design that we used to see on the current model, is not going to change. However, some of the parts such as intakes and the front bumper will be redesigned. Under the hood, the new Range Rover Sport SVR is going to feature a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 575 horsepower and which could be found in the 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR. The ongoing performance oriented SUV is powered by the same powerplant which is slightly weaker as it delivers 550 hp.

In addition to some mechanical tweaks, the cabin of the new model is going to be profoundly changed. The Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR is going to come with a lot of new equipment, and enhanced electronic driver assist features.

The current version is already a terrific vehicle, and now, the engineers are only fixing some minor flaws, and they are focusing on details. The SVR is a brilliant car because you can go with it off-road, but you can also drive it on the race track. The carmaker is not going to stop here because the team also plans to upgrade the larger Range Rover SUV, which has also been caught by a camera recently.
