Many vehicles that we have eagerly waited to see will be introduced this year, and one of those is the 2018 Jeep Wrangler that could be unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, FCA boss Sergio Marchionne told Toledo Blade. The production of this long-anticipated model will also start in November in Jeep’s plant in Toledo Ohio, while the Wrangler will go on sale at the beginning of 2018.

“We may be forced to go to Los Angeles to launch the car. We’ll have them running around,” Marchionne said. “I can’t cover them up with masking tape. The car is too distinctive. We may show it in Los Angeles in November and then launch it officially here in January.”

The new examples of the current vehicle and the next-generation model will be on sale simultaneously, at least for a while. Marchionne stated: “It’s for a very short period of time to allow phase in and phase out.”

2018 Jeep Wrangler Release Date

The president of the United Auto Workers local chapter at the Toledo factory stated that they would go on with the production of the ongoing version until March 2018. After that, they would set up the production line for the assembly of the new Wrangler pickup truck, which means that we could expect to see pickup hit the market either in late 2018 or early 2019.

According to the leaks about the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler, an aluminum hood and doors will be supplied by Alcoa, and because of the lighter material these parts are made of, the new model will lose some weight. Based on the dealer presentation, we believe that the new Wrangler will come with a slightly different boxy design that features a more steeply raked grille and LED lights integrated into the front fenders. An engine update is likely to happen, while a turbocharged I4, diesel, and hybrid may become available after the vehicle goes on sale.
