Rumors about a power retractable roof have been circulating for more than three years, and the new Wrangle model could finally come with it. We can see the interior of Jeep’s popular vehicle thanks to a JL Wrangler Forums user and his photos indicate that a power roof could be here.
In spite of the lower quality of the image, the administrator of the site emphasizes that the Wrangler’s overhead console consists of numerous buttons and switches – something similar that you can see on the Renegade which has the optional MySky retractable roof.
The MySky roof is basically a power roof that has two different panels, and the front panel can be either tilted or slid back, so it is something like a sunroof. However, if you want, you can remove both pieces and have an open-air experience which is a fun part.
Don’t get your hopes high because it is too early to tell whether Jeep is actually installing a power retractable roof. They might have just decided to reposition the switchgear or use different, improved overhead console. But, according to some “trusted sources,” we are “on the right track” with this kind of assumption. Fine, you can hope to see this new feature on the 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
