One of the most authentic SUVs is going to arrive soon. FCA has confirmed the pricing for the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and it will not be affordable. The starting price of the upcoming vehicle will be $86,995, including destination, while you will be able to order the car starting on August 10. For those who don’t know what to expect from the new Trackhawk, it is basically the Grand Cherokee with Hellcat power.

Under the hood, we will see a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine which is going to produce 707 horsepower that will be sent to all four wheels. Trackhawk will be the quickest SUV ever assembled, and it will be able to accelerate to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Fascinating, indeed! How about the quarter of a mile? It will reach that distance in only 11.6 seconds, while the limited top speed of the new model will be 180 mph.

When we heard about the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee, we couldn’t even guess which type of the configuration Jeep was going to use. There was a fear that an AWD Grand Cherokee could grenade itself due to all the power, but Jeep has chosen that system over the 2WD anyway.

Like any other Grand Cherokee, the Trackhawk’s comes with a factory warranty. It is also important to mention that the American manufacturer modified the full-time active transfer case with forged steel chain sprockets and a wider chain. A limited-slip differential was also added to the rear so that the control of power is better, whereas the Pirelli 295/45Z R20 Verde all-season tires surround the wheels. Besides these, Jeep will also offer Pirelli P Zero three-season tires.

The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be equipped with 15.75-inch two-piece vented Brembo rotors at the front with 6-piston calipers and 13.78-inch vented rotors at the back. According to the carmaker, the new model can come to a stop from 60 mpg in 114 feet, which is a remarkable result for a model this big.

We cannot wait to put this vehicle to the test, but until then, follow us for more details.
