New 2018 Jeep Compass was presented at the event in Brazil. The new vehicle comes as a replacement to the Patriot and the current version of Compass, which are two of the oldest cars in Jeep’s lineup.

Grand Cherokee served as an inspiration to this car, so it is not unusual that we see some of its styling cues on 2018 Compass, such as thin grill and a tall front end. Moreover, the new car also borrowed the cabin for a clean, splendid look.

It is seen in the pictures that the off-road, trail-rated model which goes under the name of Trailhawk is also a part of the lineup. It will have alloy wheels and specially designed bumpers which increase the approach and departure angle. What also makes this car special is a tow hook painted in red and hints of the gloss black color.

The car will be available either with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four-banger or a 2.0-liter Tigershark V4 engine. Options such as a nine-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission are available for both versions. We are not yet familiar with the technical details for the U.S.-spec model, but it probably won’t be the oil-burner.

The next Compass will appear on the world stage for the first time at Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil in the beginning of November. It is expected that after that the U.S.-spec model will show up at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

2018 Jeep Compass will hit the market in the first few months of 2017.
