The wait is over for the US market, and we are pleased to say that the new 2018 Honda Civic Type R is finally coming which can only mean one thing. A lot of very curious fans and enthusiasts will end they suffering and finally find out if it was worth of wait. Thanks to Inside Lane we can show you an early video review of this hot hatch which just recently if you didn’t know, broke the front-wheel drive Nürburgring lap record.

AS you will see in the clip, the car received a lot of praises especially when it comes to the six-speed manual transmission which according to the reviewer was an “absolute delight.” Thanks to such good transmission and the very powerful turbocharged 2.0 L four-cylinder engine this hot hatch managed to reach 150 MPH (241 km/h) on the Autobahn easily and without even breaking a sweat. You will also hear that the reviewer commend a lot its comfortable ride quality and a steering system which provides much feedback, and you all know this is very important when it comes to these type of cars.

It was previously reported that the Honda will keep to their FWD setup although all of the competition has opted for the AWD. They managed to make an incredible vehicle by using a limited slip differential and clever engineering which returns a very normal and minimal torque steer unless you’re going all out. The only thing that somewhat came as disappointing is the fact that the reviewer noted that this model is not as hardcore as its predecessor, but the good thing is that it is overall better a better choice and makes a good daily driver.

2018 Honda Civic Type R Price

The official price tag for the US market isn’t out yet, unfortunately, but some presumptions are that it will be around $33,900 in the US. Now check out the review video and enjoy!

My name is Miloš Kalajdžić and I come from Brčko DC in Bosnia. I was born on July 20 th 1988 and so far I obtained a BSc in economics and one year of working experience in my field of study. I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
