Yes, finally! The 2018 Ford Endeavour has been caught testing, and now we can tell you a bit more of this D-segment SUV which offers a perfect blend of luxury and off-road capabilities just before everything is public and official. As you know the first Ford Endeavour was launched in early 2016, and it is now the right time for a refreshed look and some novelties like the upgraded safety system for the 2018 model, according to the online chatter.

The spotted test mule we have here for you today is naturally camouflaged mainly on the front end of the car, where the most of the cosmetic changes take place. As we managed to dig up the new Ford Endeavour is expected to receive a restyled bumper and a more aggressive grille inspired by the one found on Ford F-150. Unfortunately, the cosmetic changes will start and end at the front segment of the car, while everything else will virtually remain the same, but there are some tells that there may be a few tweaks done to the interior in order to keep up with the refreshed looks of the exterior.

That safety upgrade I mentioned early on will probably mean that Ford will implement the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) system which is capable of detecting obstacles through radar and sensors and warn the driver or automatically apply brakes to completely avoid or simply mitigate an unavoidable crash. What will interest you even more, besides this, is that Ford has a number of Australian engineers working on autonomous vehicle technologies in Australia at its You-Yangs proving ground.

The midlife update that the Endeavour is going through is clearly an attempt from Ford to try and narrow the vast downfall in the sales figures of this model. The Blue Oval company will probably release the 2018 Endeavour in the Indian market early next year which of course implies that it will find its way at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. This probably goes without saying, but the main competitors to the Ford Endeavour will still be the known faces such as Toyota’s flagship SUV, the Fortuner, and the recently launched Volkswagen Tiguan. Time will tell if the Endeavour is good enough to shoot ahead of these two. Your thoughts?

My name is Miloš Kalajdžić and I come from Brčko DC in Bosnia. I was born on July 20 th 1988 and so far I obtained a BSc in economics and one year of working experience in my field of study. I am a very hard-working person who leaves nothing unfinished and halfway done. When I commit to something I give my best to make sure that everything is done the way as it is supposed to be. I like cars and everything that comes with them. My passion are American muscle cars, but unfortunately the closest I managed to come near one is behind my laptop watching an image of the new Chevy or Dodge and writing about it. But that’s ok I’m still optimistic. When I’m not behind the laptop writing I’m on the streets and auto shows admiring all stuff rolling on four wheels being propelled by a petrol engine!
