2018 Ford Bronco – What Will it look like?

Source:motor1.com

What if the 2018 Ford Bronco looked like a cut-down F-150? That would be really cool. The first Bronco was launched way back in 1966, and it was highly capable in off-road driving, but also of everyday city driving. Everybody loved this car, from surfers to workers and families.

The production of the Bronco was called off in 1996. Ever since then, the rumors have been circulating that the Bronco could make a huge comeback. Thus, the concept appeared in 2004, and it had a retro look, but that was about it. Nothing official was delivered until recently.

Nowadays, SUVs are maybe even the most popular type of transportation vehicles, and this may be the right time for a Bronco comeback. The car is even confirmed by the United Auto Workers chairman, Bill Johnson.

Johnson also responded to Donald Trump criticism which was about moving the production from the plant in Wayne, Michigan to Mexico. Johnson said: “We hate to see the products go to Mexico, but with the Ranger and the Bronco coming to Michigan Assembly that absolutely secures the future for our people a lot more than the Focus does.”

Ford has been silent about this. Meanwhile, let’s go back to the Ford Bronco. What will it look like? Previous Bronco models were underpinned by a cut-down chassis from the F-Series. Thus, we are going to assume that the new Bronco will come with this platform.

On the front end, the 2018 model will come with a bespoke grille and recognizable F-150 headlights while the huge letters on the grille tell you that this really is Bronco. The rear end is also cut out whereas in the bed the automaker would put rear seats and trunk. The roof is longer, and at the end of the car, there is a split tailgate.
