The 2018 Acura TLX has been seen in traffic in Southern California and although the front end was camouflaged the front grille is visible. The 2018 model will sport a new diamond pentagon grille – a design we had a chance to see on both Acura Precision Concept and the redesigned 2017 Acura MDX.

2018 Acura TLX Design

Due to a new front end design, the 2018 Acura TLX will look more athletic and more attractive as well. What is interesting is that the new version will not sport a silver window trim, but the headlights will be narrow and angular, which is specific for this vehicle. The rear end has also been camouflaged, so we will see some minor changes there, but the shape of the back segment will probably remain the same.

The TLX show car that was ready for production was introduced a few years back, and on it, we had a chance to see the all-new and unique exhaust outlets. The owners of Acura have demanded this type of tips, and the chances are high that we will see the new exhaust on the 2018 TLX. At the presentation of the concept car, Acura Global Creative Director Dave Marek said: “The next round of styling will be more premium-brand, performance feeling, and more noticeable.”

Engine

The current Acura TLX is offered with two engine choices. The first one is a 2.4-liter I4 engine that produces 206 hp, whereas the second one, more powerful 3.5-liter V6 unit is good for 290 hp. The last generation Acura TLX was launched in 2014, so we expect a mid-cycle refresh to be introduced soon.
