The two cars, 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class and 2017 Mercedes-AMG S63 have been spied during the tests in Europe.

The photos confirm that Mercedes-Benz is producing numerous S-Class prototypes and each of them comes with the tiny upgrades on the exterior.

Both bumpers are camouflaged, which means that they will look differently. Although the rear bumpers are camouflaged on both cars, we can say that the AMG will undergo more changes.

However, the cars will be only partially redesigned. To be more specific, we can expect to see restored both front and rear bumpers, headlights and taillights as well as the grille. Moreover, the wheels may also be new, but we are not so sure about that.

Considering that the C-Class and E-Class had been overhauled completely and they now resemble the S-Class we could have anticipated some changes in the S-Class so that the car has a slightly different look than the other sedans in the company.

Although there won’t be major changes on the outside, the interior has been almost completely hidden. We think that they want to upgrade the infotainment system to top the one from the E-Class.

It is possible that they will relocate the screens on the dashboard or put larger ones, add more driving aids and gesture sensing mechanisms.

The AMG S63 may receive a new 4.0-liter engine instead of 5.5-liter turbo V8. The new unit will produce 445 kW which means that the performance figures will grow for the S63.

The facelift models you can see here will probably go on sale either later this year or at the beginning of the next.
