Apparently, Mazda has just released images of what appears to be the most handsome 2017 CX-5 out there, and that is the model with Custom Style nameplate. When you take a look at it, you must admit that this is truly the best version of their new crossover yet.

As you know, already the 2017 Mazda CX-5 just saw its first complete redesign and it was revealed to us at the Los Angeles Auto Show last month. But to prove that they can offer more with this vehicle, Japanese car maker is already on the job of an even more snazzy version of the popular crossover. The essence of all this is basically an optional appearance package that promises improved handling and exterior look at the same time. What catches the eye almost instantly is the addition of chrome-lined side skirts that add to a sporty and luxury feel, but also the additional dimension to the exterior. Mazda continued with this providing door mirrors that are finished in black instead of the body color, and the brake calipers that have a matte black finish.

The engine sadly remains unchanged, but the performance is brought to another level by a height-adjustable suspension with the addition of special edition 20 inch gunmetal wheels wrapped in 245/45 tires that fill out the wheel arches and are most likely substantially going to offer more grip. Although we do not possess the images, Mazda has stated that there will be some changes in the interior as well, and those changes will reflect in pedals that now wear an aluminum finish, while welcome lamps and illuminated scuff plates will offer a more premium feel to it. There will even be special floor mats with a deodorant function built in.

Release Date

The 2017 Mazda CX-5 Custom Style will make its appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2017, but sadly its debut in Tokyo means it will not be available in US market, which is a shame. If the demand for it, though, turns out to be big in US, maybe Mazda decides to change their mind about it and possibly offer it overseas. I guess we will have to wait and see.
