Honda continues to put smiles on the faces of their customers, especially with their new Civic sedan and coupe models. The crossover segment is popular too, and it can’t be neglected, which means that Honda CR-V must be top-notch in order to boost sales.

The 2017 Honda CR-V is 1.4-inches wider and taller than the previous model, and that means that there is more space in the cabin for the passengers. Besides that, new version sheds 58 pounds compared to the last year.

The base trim is called the LX, and its starting price is $24,945. It is the only model across the range that is equipped with a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 184 hp. The LX comes with a front-wheel-drive, but the AWD can be added for $1,300. All other CR-V’s have a 190 hp 1.5-liter turbocharged unit under the hood.

Some of the standard features included for the 2017 Honda CR-V LX are 17-inch aluminum wheels, capless fuel filler, and LED lights. Moreover, this model sports audio controls that are located on the steering wheel and a multi-angle rearview camera.

The next trim is called EX, and it starts at $27,595 bringing all of the equipment mentioned above, but it also adds a 7.0-inch infotainment display, a sunroof, and remote start. In addition, power driver’s seat, push-button ignition, heated front seat, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and two rear USB ports are included as well.

The upper trim is called EX-L where L stands for leather seating. For this model, you would have to pay $31,095 which is slightly higher than you would expect but have in mind that it also features Garmin Navigation.

The top-shelf Touring variant is on sale for $33,295. This version comes with LED headlights, ambient LED lighting, and adaptive cruise control. Among other features, we have a lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams and a power liftgate with a foot-activated sensor.

The 2.4-liter CR-V with an FWD is rated at 26 mpg in the city, and 32 mpg on the highway whereas the AWD version is rated at 25 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The CR-Vs with a 1.5-liter engine enhance these figures to 28/34 for the FWD and 28/33 city/highway for the AWD.
