However, the officials from Honda seem not to care at all what Musk has to say about these cells. The award for the best range among the electric vehicles goes to the new Clarity, which can cross 366 on a single tank of pressurized hydrogen gas.

The 2017 Honda Clarity will hit the market in winter and it will cost $60,000. However, if you wanted the new vehicle don’t get your hopes high, because only those within 10 miles of hydrogen fueling station will be able to purchase the new car.

Clarity tops top-notch Tesla Model S P100D by 51 miles and hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai by 54 miles. In addition, it is also better than Hyundai Tucson Fuel Cell by 101 miles. Just for the record, the previous FCX Clarity was claimed to have a 270-mile range, but considering that previous Clarity hit the market before EPA set their standards about EV range, we cannot compare the two vehicles just like that.

The new fuel-cell car stores fuel at 10,000 psi. It is two times more pressure than in the previous Clarity. Also, it takes three to five minutes to fill up the new vehicle, but this is yet to be tested. FCX Clarity, on the other hand, took nine minutes, so this is an upgrade. Although Honda struggles with infrastructure and fuel availability, they are really giving their best to develop their new fuel-cell Clarity.
