Honda has been producing the tenth-gen Civic Hatchback at Swindon plant, UK ever since December, but it will go on sale in March 2017. Good news for those who are aiming to buy a new 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback is that it will be cheaper than its predecessor. The base trim will be priced at £18,235 which is the £330 reduction compared to the 2016 model. The range-topping, on the other hand, will cost £27,480.

Phil Webb, head of cars at Honda, UK, said: “As a brand, we are making big strides in improving residual values across our range. This will make our cars even more affordable and lower the total cost of ownership for private and business buyers.” In this statement, he referred to the car’s residual value forecast of 37% after 36 months and 60,000 miles.

The Honda Civic’s entry level model will be equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine good for 129 PS and 200 Nm of torque. Moreover, the 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo will be offered, and it will produce 182 PS and 220 Nm of torque, while the 1.6-liter i-DTEC turbo diesel-powered unit will be introduced later on, once the vehicle is already on sale. Honda will offer two transmission options to their customers – a six-speed manual and a CVT.

The Civic Hatchback designed for the UK market will be available in eight trim levels. The base S model will be followed by SE and SR. After that, the customers can opt for EX and EX with Tech Package. Upper trims of this famous vehicle are Sport and Sport Plus while the top of the line version is called Prestige. You can add metallic paint for the 2017 Honda Civic, and it would set you back additional £525.
