The 2016 Paris auto show will start on September 29, but the Honda decided to present their new Civic hatchback before this event. Along with this version, the Honda will also present the Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe.

The modern 10th generation of Civic platform has been used for this car. 2017 Honda Civic will be assembled in Swindon, England, but the USA is the place where the car will be sold. This Civic Hatchback is the first one to appear in the US market after the seventh generation previous decade.

It is officially announced that the car will come out in five different trims – LX, Sport, EX, EX-L and Sport Touring. However, only one engine will be used for all of the versions and it will be turbocharged 1.5-liter inline-4. This unit is also integrated into the Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe and it produces 174 hp and 162 pound/feet of torque. Meanwhile, the same engine will produce six hp more for the Sport and Sport Touring trim.

Hopefully, Honda will soon come out with a new Si and Type R models which will use a turbocharged 2.0-liter straight-four plant producing 305 hp. We may see the new Type R in Paris.

2017 Honda Civic Hatchback has a front-wheel-drive with either a CVT or a manual with six speeds whereas the fuel consumption is 34 mpg.

The Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe served as an inspiration for the interior which means that it will be the same in the Hatchback. This car will be quite roomy with large rear legroom. Moreover, it is considered that this car has one of the biggest cargo capacities among compact-class vehicles.

The technology won’t lack either. You will be able to integrate your smartphone into the car. It will be equipped with various options such as hill start assist, Road Departure Mitigation, ACC with Low-Speed Follow etc.

Although it is not yet confirmed but the starting price should be about $19,475.
