The 2017 Geneva Motor Show is ahead of us, and we have so much to look forward. This is one of the biggest in Europe and even in the world, and we have seen so many hot vehicles and concepts introduced in recent years.

This show began in 1905, and this year it will start on March 7, 2017, but the first two days are reserved for the media and press. Tickets are already on sale, and the show will be open to the public on March 9. Although there is more than one month left before the beginning of the event, some carmakers already reserved their spots and announced cars we will see. Let’s take a look at some of the key vehicles that will appear at the show.

Renault Alpine A120

Renault will present their Alpine sports car at the Geneva Motor Show this year. It will either be a completely new model called A120, or it will only come as a refreshed version. Its biggest rival Porsche Cayman will be priced at £50,000, and reports say that it will be made with the high level of usage of lightweight aluminum.

Italdesign Supercar

We will also have a chance to see exclusive production supercar that will be presented by design house Italdesign. There are only five units manufactured, and we have seen only teaser photos of the vehicle so far. However, we expect this to be an impressive model, and it might be resembling something like Italdesign’s GTZero that they revealed last year.

Kia Picanto

Kia Picanto will hit the UK market in spring, but before that, it will be introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. We are not going to be surprised when we see the Picanto at the podium because the pictures of the GT trim have been already presented. The new model is same in length as the previous one, but this one will have a 15 mm longer wheelbase, resulting in an additional space inside. Under the hood, the Kia Picanto will sport a 1.0-liter three-cylinder good for 65 bhp and 1.25-liter I4 that delivers 85 bhp.

McLaren Supercar

In the last four years, we have had a chance to watch McLaren’s vehicles at the Geneva Motor Show. This year McLaren comes to the show well-prepared – they will introduce a new Super Series model that will substitute the 650S. The only information we got is that the new supercar will be based on the new all-carbon Monocage II chassis and it will be equipped with an active rear wing. The rest is unknown, but the new car should bring a lot of power.

Pagani Huayra Roadster

The Geneva Motor Show will be stacked with supercars and Pagani Huayra Roadster is one of them. It is a drop top iteration of the exotic model, and this one will be one of the fastest vehicles with an open top in the world. The arrival of the Roadster has been announced via social media, and it should be equipped with twin-turbocharged V12 that produces 720 bhp, while the top speed will probably exceed 220 mph mark.

Porsche 911 GT3 Facelift

Porsche is ready to unveil their 911 GT3 facelifted model at the Geneva Motor Show, and we should see it with a new engine that will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It is expected that a 4.0-liter unit will be offered and it will produce more than 500 bhp.

SEAT Ibiza

SEAT is hoping to steal the show this year with their fifth generation Ibiza supermini which is brand new, and it reminds us of the facelifted Leon. In 2016, SEAT launched the Ateca, that’s the first SUV of this carmaker, while the new Ibiza will be the foundation for the smaller compact SUV that will go under the name Arona.

Toyota Yaris Hot Hatch

It has been officially announced that the next Toyota Yaris will receive a hot hatch version. This move is significant for the company because it marks its comeback to the World Rally Championship. According to Toyota, the new Yaris will deliver more than 210 bhp, but other details are unknown. Just for the record, its rival, Ford Fiesta ST will also be introduced in Geneva.

Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport

The new Insignia Grand Sport will be displayed at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and it brings class and more hi-tech features, which shows Vauxhall’s desire to move Insignia upmarket. The Grand Sport looks like the Monza Concept that debuted in 2013, and the new Insignia will have a four-door coupe appearance and a longer wheelbase.

Volkswagen Arteon

Volkswagen will come with its Arteon, which will be another four-door coupe at the show next to the above mentioned Grand Sport. The Arteon will substitute Passat CC, and it will bring quality to the table with its new design and technology. The starting price of this model is expected to be around £30,000, and it will hit the market in fall this year.
