Last year was a poor year for movies, and this one is where we expect to see some big titles. Some of these are already in theaters whereas some will come out later in the next few months. Here is the list of 14 movies which will go out this April and May and are quite promising.

Colossal – April 7, 2017

The story of Colossal follows a young woman played by Anne Hathaway through the divorce after which she discovers that she controls a monster that destroys cities in Japan. This will not be a typical monster movie, so you better watch it.

The Void – April 7, 2017

Horror movies just keep becoming better, and The Void is going to be one of the best. A group of people in a hospital is surrounded by violent cult members. There are monsters too. You will feel chills down the spine and so are we.

The Fate of the Furious – April 14, 2017

Vin Diesel a.k.a. Dom Toretto will be the villain in this one as he will turn back on his family, while Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will get all the spotlight. Another high-quality ride is expected.

The Lost City of Z – April 14, 2017

Tom Holland, Sienna Miller, Robert Pattinson and Charlie Hunnam will play in this movie while the story follows explorer Percy Fawcett in the Amazon rainforest during the early 20th century as he finds a lost culture ruins.

Free Fire – April 21, 2017

This will be a classic gunfight movie with a lot of violence and a lot of entertainment. A group of criminals will be played by Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy, Brie Larson and Sharlto Copley and they will try to survive a gunfight in a warehouse.

The Circle – April 28, 2017

This film is based on the Dave Eggers’ book with the same name, and it will follow Emma Watson who got hired in a Silicon Valley tech company. She will discover that she is a part of an unethical experiment which endangers people’s right to privacy in a digital era we are a part of.

Sleight – April 28, 2017

Sleight is not a blockbuster movie, but that will not stop it from being stunning. At the center of the story, we have a street magician who copes with the loss of his parents and tries to survive. However, he can do the illusions for real, and we cannot wait to see this movie.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – May 5, 2017

Ever since we have seen the first film, we couldn’t wait for the sequel to come out. And it is finally here. MCU has prepared another delightful sci-fi action with the misfit team.

Alien: Covenant – May 19, 2017

The new Alien: Covenant looks scary indeed, and it is a prequel to the Alien movies and a sequel to Prometheus. It tells the story of the Xenomorphs, and it is a mixture of horror and sci-fi.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales – May 26, 2017

It’s the fifth installment of the popular franchise, and it could be easily the best one. Captain Jack Sparrow will return to the silver screen once again, and this movie is a must.
