14Cheapest holiday destinations 2018
As Valentine’s Day is coming up soon, it’s high time for couples to find some time for each other, start planning their holidays and escape the reality, just for a little while. January could be the perfect month for a getaway, as they can make these humdrum and monotony days into an exciting adventure, without spending too much money.
The Post Office Holiday Money Report has made an effort to facilitate the process of searching and has found the cheapest places in the world for you to stay in 2018, and enjoy your holiday.
In order to make a list of the cheapest places, Post Office found the prices of food, beverage and some other items for the 42 destinations in the world: a three-course meal for two with a bottle of house wine, cup of coffee, bottle of local beer, can of Coca-Cola, glass of wine, bottle of still water, suncream, and insect repellent.
The following prices refer to neither prices of the accommodation nor the travel expenses.
This list was made with the guidance and helping hand of national and regional tourist boards as well as specialist tour operators. And the conclusion that could be drawn from all the information gathered is that the prices in just a little bit less than 50% hotspots in the world have been reduced if compared to the previous year (such as the prices of food and beverage for instance).
If you are looking for someplace to stay in the next few weeks, skim through the list and see if there’s anything to your liking. You’ll find plenty of cheap places for couples around the world, categorized according to key holiday essentials, from the most expensive to the cheapest ones. Take a look.
