10 Vehicles From 2017 That Will Affect the Market

-

Emission regulations are becoming more and more strict, and because of climate changes and these regulations, the manufacturers are forced to produce environmentally-friendly vehicles. Germany plans to phase out the internal combustion engines by 2030, while Norway plans to do it by 2025.

Pretty much every automaker now produces plug-in hybrids, while Tesla is the best EV manufacturer and the leader of this new “movement.” Furthermore, the popularity of the SUVs is going through the roof, while utes and performance cars are following. A lot of interesting stuff is going on and here are 10 vehicles from 2017 that will definitely affect the world market.

Honda Clarity

One of the vehicles to look for is the Honda Clarity, which will compete with Toyota Mirai and Hyundai Tucson FCEV. Not much will happen this year, but it is important to say that hydrogen station network is growing day in day out, which give the Clarity a chance to position itself as a leader of future zero-emission vehicles. The fuel-cell technology is at its inception and that is why the Clarity is so important.

Honda Ridgeline

The Ridgeline is coming back to the US, and it has been a few years since Honda’s truck was missing, so it is time for this to be corrected. The GM models will have a tough competition to beat and it will be interesting to watch the truck segment. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline will come with the two-way tailgate and bed mounted speakers, it will boast a lot of space in the interior and try to remind the rivals how outdated they are.

Chevrolet Bolt EV

The Chevrolet Bolt is one of the most affordable electric vehicles in the US with the price tag around $30,000. It cannot be compared to Tesla, but for this amount of money, you will get a vehicle with almost 250 miles per one charge, which is pretty admirable. The Chevy Bolt EV will definitely cause some issues to other electric vehicles.

Kia Niro

Kia Niro is a compact crossover, but it is also a hybrid which really fills the role when it comes to the efficient SUVs. In terms of fuel economy, the Niro is rated at 50 mpg combined, but it also brings an abundance of safety technology. Plus, it looks good, but we will see how it will affect the market.

Acura NSX

The new Acura NSX is a very expensive car, but this doesn’t mean that it will not leave a trace on the market. We have already had a chance to see electric motor-bolstered supercars, but the NSX is the most affordable. For only $157,800, you will get a drivetrain that produces 573 hp and the vehicle that goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. Moreover, the top speed is incredible 191 mph, and it will be fun to watch the Acura NSX fighting with top dogs such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.

Honda Civic Type R

Everyone is patiently waiting for the Honda Civic Type R to make the debut in the states. The engine under the hood of the Type R will produce 350 hp probably at almost 9,000 rpm. Although the Honda Civic Type R is not a supercar, it will be able to accelerate like one and attack corners at high speeds with ease and grace. The Japanese manufacturer is spicing things up, not only with the Type R but with some others cars as well.

Lexus LC 500

The LC 500 is a really beautiful car and Japanese car maker decided to offer it as a hybrid too. The total output of the LC 500h is 354 hp, while the regular model is rated at 471 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque. The engine under the hood of this marvel produced by Lexus is a 5.0-liter normally aspirated V8. The hybrid model will cost $100,000, while the price of the regular Lexus LC 500 will be just over $90,000. Some of the competitors of this luxury car are Mercedes-Benz S550 Coupe, BMW 650i and Maserati Gran Turismo.

Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

The Chrysler Pacifica offers everything you expect from a minivan – space, comfort and reliability. What is great is that Hybrid model will also be delivered, as it will come with 30 all-electric miles, which is quite enough for taking care of business at daily bases. The tremendous thing is that it is rated at 80 MPGe, and the price of the Pacifica should be below $30,000.

Hyundai Ioniq

The Hyundai Ioniq will go on sale as a hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicle. In the conventional and plug-in hybrid version, the engine that is used is a 1.6-liter four cylinder that produces 104 hp. This variant comes with the electric motor that delivers 43 hp and 1.6 kWh lithium-ion-polymer battery pack. The plug-in model, on the other hand, uses the AC motor which produces 60 hp and it has a larger 8.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The Ioniq EV is equipped with the 120-horsepower electric motor and 28 kWh battery which gives it 110 miles of range.

Tesla Model 3

The Tesla Model 3 is probably the best electric vehicle since it will have at least 215 miles of range and it will come with some amazing technology. Furthermore, the Model 3 will cost under the $30,000 mark, which is pretty unbelievable considering what you get. The new automotive goodies will be available to the masses, and that is why the Tesla Model 3 will arguably have the biggest influence in 2017.
