“Attack On Titan” is a popular Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, first released in 2009. It was only a couple of years later that it received its first TV adaptation, which aired on MBS between April 7, 2013, and September 29, 2013. Considering it has been more than three years since then, we suppose that you can’t wait to see the new season. Much to your delight, the release date is getting closer.
The second season of “Attack On Titan” or “Shingeki No Kyojin” is scheduled to come out on April 1 this year, and it will air on Tokyo MX at 22:00. It is created by Hajime Isayama and directed by Masashi Koizuka, while Kyoji Asano was in charge of character design.
The Attack on Titan anime revolves around the adventures of Eren Yeager, his foster sister, Mikasa Ackerman, and their childhood friend Armin Arlert. Humans are in search of the best possible shelter trying to protect themselves from monsters (Titans). They eventually hide behind giant walls in hope that the Titans will not find them. However, not everything goes that smoothly. The Colossal Titan leading the other faction manages to breach their wall, which eventually prompts Eren to stand up for her people.
Here’s how Funimation, an American entertainment, anime, and foreign licensing company, describes the series: “Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity’s freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!”
The official release date is not the only piece of information that has been confirmed. Namely, the publishers have also revealed that Linked Horizon will perform the theme song for Attack On Titan Season 2.
Some of the main cast members include Yuki Kaji, who hides behind the protagonist, Eren Yeager, Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa Ackerman, Kisho Taniyama as Jean, together with Marina Inoue (Armin) and Yu Shimamura (Annie).
